Whenever one of the Guild of 19 dies or retires, the remaining eighteen hold a tournament to fill the seat.

Each member is expected to commit to a lifetime of cross-training in sorcery and conventional combat.

Mr. Concrete is a concrete golem originally created by the Guild’s founder Janusz Marduk, who died about 300 years ago. Concrete was awakened to intelligence shortly afterwards, and he followed what fuzzy memories he had back to the Guild.

Concrete is presently the most senior member of the Guild of 19, making him Chairman.

Aloria is a dusk elf, a subrace of elves found across the Northlands who are particularly resistant to the cold. She has been in the Guild for about 40 years.

The rails up there are where the targets would be hanging and moving around.

On the table is finding out how people get into the room, a plausible way for people to observe from relative safety, and some more greebles.
